Çene operasyonları basit, güvenli ve acısız olması nedeniyle ve de yüz estetiğinde ciddi düzelme ve gençleşme sağlayan kolay bir işlem olduğundan çok rağbet görmektedir. Yüzün genel yapısını belirleyen çeneniz, birçok nedenden dolayı estetik açısını kaybedebilir. Bazen doğumsal ve genetik, bazense sonradan oluşan nedenlerle çenede estetik görünüm kaybı oluşabilir.

Çene estetiği ameliyatları çeneyi genel olarak büyütmek veya küçültmek amacı ile yapılan estetik operasyonlardır. Bu operasyonlar duruma göre üst çeneye veya alt çeneye uygulanabilir. Çene ucu normalden ileride veya geride olan yüzlerde. profil ve önden görünüm ileri derecede etkilenir. Bu ameliyatlar ile birlikte yüz profili ve projeksiyonu düzeltilmektedir. “Çene Estetiği” çene ucu normalden geride olan hastalarda plastik cerrahınızın muayene sırasında planladığı büyüklükteki implant lokal veya genel anestezi altında ağız içinden veya çene altından yapılan küçük bir kesiden yerleştirilir ve çoğu zaman hastanede kalmayı dahi gerektirmemektedir.

Operasyon sonrası çene bölgesinde hafif bir şişme olabilir ki bu da birkaç gün içinde kaybolacaktır. Hasta 3 ila 5 gün içinde günlük yaşamına dönebilir. Ameliyattan sonra hastanın yüzünde herhangi bir iz kalmamaktadır. Çene ucu normalden bir miktar ilerde olan hastalarda ise ağız içinden yapılan kesiden çene ucu kemiği küçültülmektedir.
